The office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (UNSCO) has said that Jewish settlers responsible for burning a mosque in the West Bank must be brought to justice.

NEW YORK (AhlulBayt News Agency) - The office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (UNSCO) has said that Jewish settlers responsible for burning a mosque in the West Bank must be brought to justice.

In a statement released Monday night, UNSCO said that the attack is completely unacceptable, with Special Coordinator Robert Serry also extremely concerned over the mosque’s vandalism.

UNSCO reminded the Israeli government that the extremists responsible for such attacks must be brought to justice and the rule of law upheld.

Israeli extremist militant settlers, Monday night torched a West Bank mosque in Beit Fajar south of Bethlehem in a bid to undermine peace negotiations with the Palestinians.
